Q: Why should I choose Christi Baker Photography?
A: I am very patient, creative, easy to get along with, and educated in professional
photography! My number one priority is listening to the client's ideas & collaborating to
make the best photographs possible. I also belong to the Better Business Bureau &
Professional Photographers of America, so be assured you are dealing with an ethical and
qualified professional photographer.

Q: What are your print prices?
A: Visit my prints page for more information.

Q: Why are your prints so affordable?
A: Since I am not a full-time photographer, I can charge less than those that depend on
photography as their only salary. I also believe that  everyone deserves to have beautiful
& creative portraits.

Q: What is the advantage of ordering prints from Christi Baker Photography rather
than printing my images at the local department store?
A: My images are printed in a professional printing lab that uses Fuji's Professional Digital
Crystal Archive photographic paper. I offer different textures and protective coatings that
are not available at the local store. When ordering large prints, 16" x 20" and up, I spend
extra time editing the image to ensure the highest quality large prints.

Q: Can you custom make a photo package that suits our needs?
A: Absolutely! If you are booking a wedding, let me know what you desire, and I will send
you a quote within a day. Regular sessions receive a percent of depending on the order
total. Visit the
prices page for more information.

Q: About how may pictures do you produce with each session?
A: I average about 50 unique images per hour. Weddings average around 100 images
per hour.

Q: Do you retouch your photos?
A: Yes. I have professional editing software specializing in portrait retouching including,
Portrait Professional 9, Adobe Photoshop CS5, and Adobe Lightroom 3. I also create
custom collages on request.

Q: I noticed that you have a "home" studio.  Does this mean that your studio is of
a "lesser" quality than a studio located in town?
A: Absolutely not, although it may not be as pretty. There are several reasons why I have
a home studio. First, no extra rent means lower prices for my clients. Second, I am able to
stay at home and spend more time with my family. Third, I have a large finished
basement that fits my needs. I have professional lighting, many backgrounds and props,
and access to streams, waterfalls, and beautiful views within minutes of my home.

Q: Do you have any plans to quit teaching and take pictures full-time?
A: While I would enjoy taking pictures for a living, there is a certain amount of stress when
depending on it as your only source of income. At this time in my life, I enjoy photography
very much, and use it as a stress reliever. Part-time photography is the best way for me to
share my talent with others while still enjoying it.

Q: How far in advance do I need to call for an appointment?
A: It depends on the time of year and the type of session. It is always best to call a few
weeks in advance to guarantee a time, but I am very flexible with scheduling. Large
weddings should be booked at least three months in advance, but I have made
exceptions to that rule in an emergency.

Q: How far are you willing to travel for a photo shoot?
A: Traveling is something I do well. My equipment is very portable, and  I can bring my
studio to you within 35 miles for only a $50 session fee.  For anything over 35 miles, I charge
an additional $1.00 per mile. For any requests that require overnight travel or air travel,
please contact me for a quote. Weddings are a very special occasion and I usually
travel up to two hours from my studio with no extra charge.
